The video brochure is a product launched in 2013 and made in China. A lot of companies use it to promote their activities or for an event. Easy, simple and reliable, the video brochure is mainly sold by the communication agencies and the printers. But some of them wish to make their own video brochure without to buy a final product from china. That’s why HK Market launches now the electronic kit A4 Landscape !
Our kit includes :
- 7 inch screen (800×480),
- Memory (512 MB),
- Battery (1000 mAh),
- USB socket
- 7 buttons (4 to play videos, 1 Power, 2 volume up/down).
All these components are assembled in a white paper 200g. The printer inserts the kit inside the brochure. That’s all !

Something tells me you’ve heard of touchscreen tablets and e-readers… Well, now’s there the V-book (V, as in, video), which allows you to look at photos and watch videos in a book or pamphlet with printed pages.
The standard model has two double-sided pages, sort of like an advertising brochure, with a 7-inch LCD display on one of the inside pages. The V-book A4 and A5 supports JPEG images; MP4, 3GP, WMV and AVI videos; and MP3 and WMA audio files. The screen can handle resolutions up to 800 x 480.
The concept is simple: open the book and the video starts, close the book and video stops. If you don’t want to use the video part, you can just turn it off. On some of the models the movie starts when you press a button, and it can loop multiple videos. The V-book can hold up to four videos, each with its own start button, with a memory of 4 GB.
Our video brochure is declined in 3 categories : the V-book (available in A4 and A5 size), the V-card (9.4 x 6.4 cm) and the V-pocket (10.4 x 6.4 cm) with a 2.4 inch screen. Content is loaded onto the V-book via a USB port, at which point they’re stored on internal memory ranging from 128 MB to 4 GB.
The V-book is fed by a battery that lasts up to two hours and is rechargeable via USB. If the V-book is left unused or unopened for five minutes, it turns off automatically.
Customisable for Businesses
The V-book is not intended to compete with touchscreen tablets. The target market is advertisers, freelancers, artists, retailers that want to promote their brand and products, and up-market PR agencies. The idea is that professionals can use the device as a way to advertise or promote their business, products or activities using videos and looping still images in a simple and cost-effective device that resembles a brochure or pamphlet.
Since businesses are the target audience, everything is customisable: the logos, page colours, buttons, barcode readers, and screen size.
The V-book is made in China by HK Market.

Gartner Says PC Shipments to Decline 8.4 Percent in 2013, While Tablet Shipments Increase 53.4 Percent.
Worldwide combined shipments of devices (PCs, tablets and mobile phones) are projected to reach 2.32 billion units in 2013, a 4.5 percent increase from 2012, according to Gartner, Inc. The market is being driven by a shift to lower-priced devices in nearly all device categories.
Worldwide shipments of traditional PCs (desk-based and notebook) are forecast to total 303 million units in 2013, an 11.2 percent decline from 2012, and the PC market, including ultramobiles, is forecast to decline 8.4 percent in 2013 (see Table 1). Mobile phone shipments are projected to grow 3.7 percent, with volume of more than 1.8 billion units.
Tablet shipments are expected to grow 53.4 percent this year, with shipments reaching 184 million units. Premium tablets are faced with continued price decline in the 7-inch form factor as a larger number of consumers prefer smaller form factors when it comes to content consumption. A recent consumer study that Gartner conducted in Brazil, China, France, Germany, Italy, the U.K., the U.S. and Japan confirmed Gartner’s long-standing assumption that smaller is better when it comes to consumer tablets. The survey showed that the average screen sizes of the tablets in use across the countries ranged from 8.3 inches to 9.5 inches. Forty-seven percent of the 21,500 consumers surveyed owned a tablet that was 8 inches or less.
As the third-quarter earnings season comes to an end, it is clear that our caution for 2013 was well placed as vendors are transitioning their portfolios to the new Intel processors Bay Trail and Haswell, as well as rolling out products that are based on the Windows 8.1 release.
“While consumers will be bombarded with ads for the new ultramobile devices, we expect their attention to be grabbed but not necessarily their money,” said Carolina Milanesi, research vice president at Gartner. “Continuing on the trend we saw last year, we expect this holiday season to be all about smaller tablets as even the long-term holiday favorite — the smartphone — loses its appeal.
